Enjoy a hearty breakfast before meeting your fellow travelers and guide for a briefing on the exciting journey ahead. Our first stop is Springdale, Utah, the gateway to Zion National Park. As we venture into Zion, you'll be greeted by breathtaking vistas of towering sandstone cliffs, lush greenery, and serene canyons. After exploring this awe-inspiring park, we'll head to our hotel to freshen up before enjoying a group dinner together in town. Overnight: Bumbleberry Inn, 2 nights Drive Time: 160 mi / 260 km, or 2.5 hrs

Start the day with an early breakfast before heading back into Zion for a full day of exploration. Whether you're in the mood for a challenging hike like Angel's Landing (permits permitting as individuals must receive permits in advanced), are outfitted for the Narrows or prefer a more relaxed hike along the Emerald Pools, Zion’s stunning landscapes have something for everyone. We’ll spend the day discovering Zion’s iconic beauty before returning to Springdale to relax after an active day in nature. Overnight: Bumbleberry Inn Emerald Pools: 3 mi / 5 km, 2-3 hrs, +/-200 m

After breakfast at the hotel, we’ll hit the road for Bryce Canyon National Park. Bryce is one of the most uniquely beautiful of America’s National Parks. Hiking paths wind through radiant red and pink towers of stone, known as Hoodoo's, which contrast beautifully with blue skies and green pines. Along the way, we’ll stop in charming small towns and scenic viewpoints before arriving at our hotel, just a short distance from the park. In the afternoon, stretch your legs with a walk through Bryce’s magical scenery before settling in for the night. Overnight: Bryce View Lodge, 2 nights Drive Time: 85 mi / 140 km, or 2 hrs

Today is all about immersing yourself in Bryce Canyon’s otherworldly landscapes. Spend the day hiking along its stunning trails, either above or below the canyon’s rim, taking in the panoramic views and unique rock formations. After a full day of exploration, head back to town to relax at the hotel. In the evening, you may opt to enjoy a Western Cowboy dinner show in the evening (optional at your expense). Overnight: Bryce View Lodge Queens Garden and Navajo Loop: 3 mi/5 km, 3 hrs, +/-200 m Rim walk, Bryce Point to Sunset: 2 mi/4 km, 1 hr, +/-50 m

Our adventure continues as we drive through more scenic landscapes along the way to Capitol Reef National Park. A park known for it's rugged red rock cliffs, ancient petroglyphs, and the iconic Waterpocket Fold, a dramatic geological wrinkle in the earth's crust. This lesser-known park offers a blend of rich history and striking natural beauty. After exploring some of the park’s trails, we’ll head to the peaceful town of Torrey, surrounded by stunning rock formations and tranquil valleys, where we’ll spend the night. Overnight: Red Sands Hotel & Spa, 1 night Drive Time: 107 mi / 175 km, or 2 hrs

The morning begins with a relaxed sightseeing excursion through Capitol Reef National Park before we set out for Moab, a vibrant hub for outdoor adventure enthusiasts. Nestled between Arches and Canyonlands National Parks, Moab offers endless opportunities for exploration.The town itself has a lively, laid-back atmosphere, with plenty of restaurants, shops, and activities that cater to those looking to explore the surrounding natural beauty. The evening in Moab is free for you to explore at your own pace, relax, and enjoy. Overnight: Moab Valley Inn, 2 nights Drive Time: 160 mi / 260 km, or 2.5 hrs

Prepare for a full day of discovery as we head into Arches National Park, home to over 2,000 natural stone arches and some of the most iconic geological formations in the American Southwest. We’ll have an early start as we head towards scenic trails and visit famous landmarks like Delicate Arch and Landscape Arch before returning to Moab in the evening, where you can choose to continue exploring or rest after an active day. Overnight: Moab Valley Inn or similar Drive Time: 1 hr Delicate Arch: ~3 mi/4.8 km, 2.5 hrs, +/-184 m

Another full day of adventure awaits us in Canyonlands National Park, our final national park of this trip. Canyonlands is a vast and diverse landscape characterized by its intricate maze of canyons, mesas, and buttes carved by the Colorado River and its tributaries. From the sweeping panoramic views of Island in the Sky to the rugged, remote beauty of The Maze, this park provides a stunning array of natural features and breathtaking vistas. After another full day of adventure, we’ll return to Moab for a special farewell dinner with the group to celebrate the near end of our incredible journey together. Overnight: Moab Valley Inn Drive Time: 3 hrs

Enjoy a slow breakfast this morning with the scenic desert backdrop before our relaxed departure today. Our final drive will take us to Salt Lake City. Upon arrival, we’ll check into the hotel and you’ll have the rest of the day to relax or explore the city at your own pace, reflecting on the amazing journey. Overnight: Crystal Inn - Salt Lake City, 1 night Drive Time: 240 mi / 390 km, or 4 hrs

Today concludes your western adventure after breakfast. Departure is on your own today. About Your Leader

All of our tour leaders are certified in First Aid and CPR and registered as official guides with the national parks. Most are bilingual and many of our departures are conducted in English as well as one other language (typically German or Spanish). Your tour leader is from the USA and may have grown up here or may have moved here from another country - As many Americans do!
